After a forced break caused by the pandemic, concert life has finally started again this year.

Balázs Fülei's new series at the Liszt Academy, ‘Music Speaks!’ awaits the audience in four concerts from February to May and the series titled ’Piano in the Focus’ also continues in the Bartók Memorial House.

In March, we could see Balázs Fülei on the stage in programmes related to Bartók's birthday and he also made his debut at the new concert venue of Budapest, the House of Hungarian Music.

The programme of the first semester included a solo recital at the Liszt Academy with pieces by Beethoven and an orchestral concert in Kecskemét where he has performed Grieg's piano concerto in A minor.

Evenings reviving Schubert's song cycles with Zoltán Megyesi as well as the concerts of the Auer Trio commemorating the 225th anniversary of Schubert's birth also continued.

In April and May there are chamber music concerts included in the programme; Balázs Fülei plays Schumann with the artists of the Hungarian Radio Orchestra and Beethoven with the musicians of the Festival Orchestra.

So the concerts will continue until the end of May, and in July the Echo Summer Academy will be held for the seventh time - led by Péter Kováts, István Varga and Balázs Fülei - at the Károlyi Castle in Fehérvárcsurgó.

During the first months of the year, two new CDs were released: one of the Auer Trio playing Schubert and the other one is Balázs Fülei's solo album, Blurred Boundaries, featuring works by Franck, Debussy and Ravel. The CDs can be purchased here.
