His peers have described Felix Mendelssohn as attractive, lovable and endlessly benevolent, whose letters radiate serenity and a basically balanced mentality.

His witty reports to his family members on concerts, travels or his children will be performed by Géza Hegedűs D. in a joint evening with the Auer Trio titled ’Foursome with Mendelssohn’ in the Budapest Music Centre (BMC) on May 31st. The production can only be seen once within the programme of the Jewish Art Days, involving two piano trios performed by the Auer Trio: the Piano Trio in D minor composed during a particularly happy period of Mendelssohn’s life when he was a young, happily married man; and the Piano Trio in C minor related to the severe illness and lucky recovery of his one-and-a-half-year-old little son, Felix.
